I am a student at the University of California, Berkeley.
My major is history.
Berkeley has an excellent history program and offers courses in the areas that I find especially interesting, including the History of Science and Technology and United States history.
I am currently taking courses in the history of Traveling Through Nature, and the history of Warfare (from a biological perspective).
I completed my senior thesis paper last year. My topic was the so-called Briggs Initiative, otherwise known as Proposition 6 on the California ballot in 1978. Proposition 6 would have made it legal for teachers to be fired for being homosexual, or for advocating homosexuality (even if they were not homosexual).
Here are some links I have found that relate to the areas of history I enjoy.

Along with many other things in my life recently, my career plans have changed. I will be graduating with a degree in history at the end of this semester, but instead of going into teaching, which is what I was going to do, I want to go to Veterinary College and become a veterinarian. It is something that I have always wanted to do, but never thought I could. I now realize that a person can do anything if they really want to.
