Hello everyone. My name is Malica Ahmad and I sincerely want to thank you for patronizing my website. The goals that I had in mind when creating Greek Street were:

• To promote unity among the greek/fraternal organizations.

  To provide a forum for members of greek/fraternal organizations to communicate.

  To help greeks/members of fraternal organizations to establish a presence on the net.

  To recognize the accomplishments of members of greek/fraternal organizations.

I hope that Greek Street succeeds in accomplishing these goals. You may wonder why I am making a distinction between greeks and fraternal organizations. Some organizations such as Groove Phi Groove, do not consider themselves a greek-lettered organization, but rather a fraternal organization. Also, Prince Hall Masons, Order of the Eastern Star, etc. are not greek, but rather fraternal organizations. We must realize and respect these distinctions.

I am a 4th year economics major attending the University of Virginia, in Charlottesville, VA. I will be graduating in May, 1998. I am originally from Queens, NY. I am an active member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc, and was initiated into the Tau Theta Chapter on April 4th, Spring 1995. I currently serve as Epistoleus and Publicity chair for the chapter.
