THE NEW YORK TIMES REPORTS ON THE INFLUENCE OF MEDIEVAL INQUISITOR STARR'S BIZARRE AND EXTREMIST RELIGIOUS AND POLITICAL VIEWS ON THE MAKING OF HIS PORNOGRAPHIC AND PARTISAN REPORT:
"Starr Report Is Reminiscent of Outlook of a Fundamentalist Preacher in Rural Texas": "[T]here is a thin line between precision and voyeurism and in many cases the same graphic details are related in the grounds for impeachment section, the narrative section and in the footnotes. The report mixes the legal and the lewd, and at times is so formal in its description of mankind's most private behavior that it is hard to know whether to laugh or cry in reading it.":

THE NEW YORK TIMES'S BIG PROFILE ON MEDIEVAL INQUISITOR STARR!!
Do we really want an "Independent Counsel" who, when he bags his latest victim, dances about singing "Total and complete victory!" Is that what an "Independent" Counsel does? Go after people? Try to bring them down? Some more choice bits: former Independent Counsel on the Meese matter, James McKay, says that the way Starr has run his investigation "makes your blood run cold." The article's author says, "In Washington, if you say 'Tin Ear,' people instantly understand that you're talking 'Ken Starr' and his lapses of political common sense." ... "Did Starr come to hate the President -- did that drive him, too? The answer is probably yes." ... "Within Starr's office, Dash is referred to as 'our secret weapon.' A generation from now, if there is another President who needs investigating, will the special prosecutor of that era hire Ken Starr as his secret weapon? Not likely.":

MEDIEVAL INQUISITOR STARR BIOGRAPHICAL PROFILES:
Medieval Inquisitor Ken Starr grew up in an extremely small Texas town called Thalia, a place so tiny, provincial, and misbegotten it gave its name to the small town in Peter Bogdanovich's movie The Last Picture Show. No wonder Medieval Inquisitor Ken Starr is such a constricted, limited, and basically worthless human being. Not that people can't rise above their upbringing, but Medieval Inquisitor Ken Starr sure as Hell hasn't.

Today he lives in the same airless world of religious, moral, and spiritual hypocrisy and sanctimony that has characterized his entire life. At his side we find his darling wife, the frigid and relentless Alice Jean Mendell "Alice M." Starr; his frat-rat son, Randolph "Randy" Postley, 20, a senior at Duke; Carolyn Marie, a freshman at Stanford; and little Cynthia Ann, the baby, 13 and still a student at the white-glove finishing school for young ladies, the Potomac School. Their names alone convey a kind of middle-class pretension and cluelessness. The picture you will get of the couple will inevitably be of the sort of emotionally dead, hypocritical, and monstrous people who populate chambers of commerce and the Rotary Club. Mrs. Starr serves on every dopey, stultifying, starchy, "booster" sort of committee you can think of.

USA Today. Includes this classic summation of Medieval Inquisitor Starr by one of his victims:
"He was full of self-righteousness...and about as phony as a tent show preacher. ...He's the kind of guy who makes you want to wash up after you've shaken hands with him."

Los Angeles New Times. The newspaper is an alternative one, and the illustration looks very anti-Starr, but the article is quite balanced. What is unique here is that you get a lot of background information on Pepperdine:

ALICE JEAN MENDELL "ALICE M." STARR
Jewish, from Mamaroneck, New York. Married Starr August 23, 1970. Met Medieval Inquisitor Starr when they both took a Spanish class at Harvard Summer School. (Which, BTW, is not particularly selective, in case you would otherwise be impressed. It's actually full of people of Medieval Inquisitor Starr's kind, people from hick religious backgrounds and nowhere schools who want to become "top" people.) Her parentage has not yet been determined. I will eventually try to see if any Who's Who-type books record who spawned the woman who married the closet case who spawned the scandal that disgusted a nation and made us all look at Web pages like this.

OLD BUT INTERESTING FEBRUARY 1 PROFILE OF STARR FROM DETROIT NEWS:
I can't see how I missed this, but anyway here it is. What's interesting is its additional details, such as the way Starr is creepy enough to patronize his secretary, calling her "my CEO," and she's dumb enough to lap it up.

NATIONAL ENQUIRER:
A portrait of the effete Medieval Inquisitor Ken Starr's provincial boyhood. What a closet case. No wonder he's going after this whole matter in such a clueless way. Accept yourself, pornographer. Enjoy some man-sex. It's what you are!
