Hi,my name is Mike Beane I'm a guabacho from SA who loves musica Conjunto y Tejano. I to am also a big fan of the Hometown boys. They are about the most Conjunto oriented group on the Tejano scene. Too bad about Joe, what a loss. Boney is filling in ve y well though. I have been goint to the festival for about 6 or 7 yrs and love it. I am currently living in Vidor TX . Not much conjunto around here, but we still hear some ripping accordion with some bad ass Zydeco and Cajun music. I will be at the festival this year starting Thursday. Maybe I'll see you there, I'll be one of the few white guys up front when all the tuff conjunto bands are up. Look for a dude in a Guyaberra, shorts,shades with a cholo goatee sucking down a bud. Can't wait to see Los Gatos again. I tell you who I really dig, Los Garcia Bros. Make it Conjunto Carnal!

Hi, Just want to introduce myself as a pioneer conjunto recording artist from way back in the '60's, when I was just 7 yrs. old. I am the creadora of "Los Frijolitos Pintos", song that was also recorded by The Hometown Boys a few years back. They are grea ! Today I am 42, and I am working on a come back. My dad, Eligio Escobar, who passed away in 1994 was also a conjunto legend, who wrote "El Veterano" and many more!
