HOW TO CONTACT US
ASSUMPTION DETACHMENT is a 7 member rural detachment of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) and is part of the 'Northern District' of Alberta. The detachment itself is located in the northwestern corner of the province which, within the RCMP is referred to as "K" Division.

Assumption Detachment is only one of many RCMP Detachments to have opened sites on the world wide web. Many Police Agencies in addition to the RCMP find it a useful way to exchange information with the public they serve.

We have designed this site so that anyone who might be interested in our area can easily locate information our our office and the communities we serve. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions or comments.

THANKS!!

Family and friends are always asking us what the winters are like here in Northwestern Alberta - the word COLD comes to mind... Fort Nelson, British Columbia is approximately 160 km (100 miles) west of Assumption, while High Level, Alberta is approximately 100 km (60 miles) east. Our little communities are not large enough to warrant a web-based weather station as many larger communities now have. Here are the weather reports for these two towns. Our weather at this time will be very similar to these two reports!!
