This assumes that there was a long period preceding this time in which peoples passed through from South-East Asia and the Indo-Pacific peninsular to what is now Malaya, Indonesia and Australia over land bridges. Thus history becomes a daughter of archeology, and should be a prelude to the current history which began in 1521 A.D. according to Hispanocentric historians. The history taught in the Phillipines is the history of Spain in the Philippines. This is an egregious error that must be corrected in Phillipine history and Phillipine prehistory by authentic Filipino historians. Otherwise Spain has the monopoly of historical truth on Phillipine prehistory as reflected in their archival documents. I am a Filipino cultural historian residing in Tubigon, Bohol, and have written several books on Philippine history. |
