MY LAI REMEMBERED |
Thirty years ago, a massacre took place in a small village of
Vietnam. Women and children
of the My Lai village were terrorized by a group of American soldiers. The air was filled
with the horror of gun shots and screaming, babies' crying, and
laughter (by the American soldiers enjoying the killing
spree).
Then the air was filled with the silence of horror dancing in the smokes of burning village and bodies. And a massive cover-up followed. "It’s war, and shits happened!", acclaimed a defending American VN vet. This seems to be enough to justify for the slaughtering of over 500 Vietnamese civilians, mostly women, children, and elders. "Justice"...is only a matter of convenience. |
