WELCOME TO MY HOME ON THE WEB
SITE IS CURRENTLY BEING RENOVATED

My name is William "Will" Pitts and I am employed by the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office located in North Carolina, USA. I have been with the LCSO for over 8 years. Back in March of 2007 I was promoted to the rank of Sergeant where I went from working days in Adam District (western part of the county) to my present assignment, which, is supervising a crew of three road patrol deputies on permament night shift in Baker District (central part of the county). In addition to being a road patrol supervisor I also handle the county's only Explosive Detection Canine which I have been doing since September of 2004. I am a graduate of Appalachian State University located in Boone, North Carolina where I received my Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice Degree in December of 1998. My hometown where I was raised is Newton, NC which is in Catawba County. I still reside in Catawba but I work in Lincoln. In May of 2000 I received my Basic Law Enforcement Training Certificate from Caldwell Community College and Technical Institute which is located in Caldwell County. In December of 2006, I received my Advanced Law Enforcement Certificate. In July of 2007, I was enrolled in the class "General Instructor Training" for two weeks at Gaston Community College. In order to successfully complete the course I had to give an 80 minutue presentation and take the State Exam. Needless to say, I passed the course, therefore I have obtained my North Carolina General Instructor Certification credentials. With this certification, I can now teach my fellow law enforcement officers as well as Basic Law Enforcement Training students.
