Well, you might think this is a rather odd interest of mine. Log homes, there is just something that sets them apart from the everyday blah of the typical suburban living structure. A log home is one you can build yourself with a little bit of learni ng and muscle. They will last longer than you will, and you can be proud that you have a house whose architectural heritage stretches back hundreds of years. The people that settled North America lived in simple log homes and build log stockades for pro tection.
Below are some links to interesting sites on log cabins, many of them being commerical manufactures. Someday I hope to have a log cabin down on the South Shore of Nova Scotia, after I get back from Ontario. I want to design and built it myself, not u se a commerical plan or pre-constructed kit.
