Another future item I'm looking at is a page preserving
the story about the role many of us volunteers were involved in
during the
providing emergency aid to our Delaware
County population, while I served as Emergency Coordinator for
R.E.A.C.T. (Radio Emergency Action Citizens Team) and the results
of my planning efforts in recruiting and screening pre-promised
volunteers and their equipment donations six months in advance, from
Delaware and adjacent County vicinities, then coordinating the
implimenting stratigy and manpower during the initial three days
when our
"Delaware County REACT" and supportive volunteers were the only
mobility groupin this county, and for the two weeks following the
arrival of the 1978 blizzard when rural country families were still
being assisted with food donations, medical transport and their
families evacuated from their homes by our Delaware County REACT functions.
