So, after so many years of studying and striving hard to become what you are to-day, you have finally decided to become a Politician !
Good. In fact, very good ! But what in fact made you reach that decision ? Was it your parents and wife pushing you, was it your urge to help your country, was it lust for power and money or what ?
In a calculated guess I would say it was a COMBINATION of all the foregoing and, perhaps, EVEN MORE! But, the reader may ask, what more could there be ? THE ANSWER TO THAT QUESTION, MY DEAR FRIEND, CAN ONLY BE GIVEN BY THOSE WHO ARE IN POLITICS !!
Let us for a minute just IMAGINE what YOU AND I would deem good qualities a GOOD politician should have.
We would obviously want our politician to have a good, if not very good, EDUCATION. This, I think, is essential so that our politician would be able, at least, to distinguish between such simple words as BOND, BONDING and BONDAGE and very similar VERY SIMPLE words !!
We would also want our ideal politician to be of a GOOD MORAL standard. This is also a necessity to be able to give an example to his electorate and not find himself up the creek without a paddle after the elections and the papers find out that he has been sleeping around with half of the town !
We would also PREFER our politician to be a firm believer -- both in his Religion and in his political ideology.
We would want our politician to be patient, with a good sense of humour ( but at the same time serious when necessary) a good listener, sociable AND SO MANY OTHER THINGS!
USUALLY and in general MOST politicians START out like that but once they are elected, even by the most minimal of margins things change -- drastically !!
TO SUM UP, dear aspiring politician, unless you are prepared to meet
the following criteria DON'T even think of going into politics as a politician MUST BE:

ORDERLY
LACONIC
I DYLLIC
TALENTED
I MPARTIAL
C HERUBIC
I NGENUOUS
AMUSING
NEOREALISTIC
BUT NORMALLY IS OR BECOMES:
POMPOUS
O PPRESSOR
L ATENT
I NJURIOUS
T ARDY
I GNOBLE
C ALLOUS
I NGLORIOUS
A MBITIOUS
N IDDERING
AND THE LIST GOES ON AND ON, FOREVER
!!
Next we will look into the life of some infamous politicians and their contribution to mankind !
We
WILL NOT dwell on such fruitcakes as Hitler, Mussolini, Mangistu, Amin
and the like, but we will look at the subtle politician, who might even
be your idol till now, as the manipulations of these politicians have been
carefully tinted to give you the impression that these people were willing
to give their lives for YOU and THEIR COUNTRY -- we will see.
