My Semester in Washington, DC

This semester (Fall 2001) I was afforded the opportunity to attend The George Washington University's Semester in Washington Program. The program gives students a crash course in election politics and an understanding of the political climate in our nation's capitol.

I've learned a lot during my few months in D.C. I have to admit I have fallen in love with the place (although my living accomodations are much to be desired.) So far, I've met a lot of really cool people and have seen a lot of really cool things.

Unfortunately, I was in D.C. on September 11th, in my dorm room just as a plane hit the Pentagon a few miles away. I was in shock for a while, but have tried to live life as normal as possible since the tragedies occurred.
