Born in Clare, live in Clare, and most likely will die in Clare, but is that it? Well not really. I like travelling and have itchy feet (not a skin disorder!), which is somewhat alleviated by my job. I work with a rural development NGO, Bóthar, and since their work is mostly located in Africa and Eastern Europe, I get the occasional trip to exotic though poverty stricken places.
Before my quest in attempting to tackle world poverty, I spent six years in the University of Limerick, four years for a degree and two years doing research for a Masters (which I still have to finish!). I made a lot of good mates there, but it would not be inaccurate to say that it was the best of times, and also the worst of times. I will expand should anybody wish to contact me for clarification.
Finally, my life revolves around sport. I used to play Gaelic football for Monaleen in Limerick, one county championship won, but now I have returned to my roots with Shannon Gaels in Clare. Tullycrine Celtic tolerate my attempts at association football, here's to avoiding relegation this year!
