We've been married for 8 years, and I want everyone to know that a
faithful, happy, FUN marriage is possible, regardless of circumstances.
There have been times when I've been a rotten wife.
I've been selfish, mean, and self centered, and yet my husband has stood by me.
He loved me when I didn't like myself,
and he has showed me the definition of true happiness and contentment.
He's everything that I could have ever asked for in a husband,
even when I didn't know WHAT I wanted in a husband.
He's kind, selfless, and loving.
He has a wonderful sense of humor, and he has an incredible serious side as well.
He is the true head of our house, without making me feel inferior.
He takes the responsibility for making all of the major decisions in our home,
yet lovingly listens to, respects, and takes into consideration my opinions and feelings.
In the Bible it says "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church,
and gave himself for it" (Ephesians 5:25)
I honestly feel that Mike loves me with this love.
He has accepted responsibility not only for his own actions, but for mine as well.
He would, I have no doubt, give his life for me if it were necessary.
He puts my needs, and those of our children above his own.
He makes it so easy for me to love him in return that it still makes my heart race.
I can't imagine my life without him,
and I thank God that I am blessed enough to be called his wife.
