On november 22, 1963 Lee Harvey Oswald murded President John F. Kennedy in cold blood. In his haste to escape justice he murdered Dallas Police Officer J.D. Tippit. When the evidence against this man was presented to the American people by the Warren Commission, they overwhelmingly accepted his guilt. Since that time a large number of people apparently have changed their mind and now believe the murder was part of a conspiracy. What has happened in that interval to change so many minds? Has new and shocking evidence been revealed? Not Really. Have the conspirators been tried and convicted? The only person ever charged in this conspiracy was Clay Shaw, and he was acquitted in a matter of hours.
The only thing that has happened is a large group of dedicated "researchers" have written books blowing up way out of proportion the minor flaws in the case against Oswald. They selectively quoted the hundreds of witnesses in the case, dismiss overwhelming evidence as "planted" without any proof, and in some cases blatantly mislead the american public (Oliver Stone and the movie JFK, for example).
Some people think it is a waste of time to study the JFK assasination, that it doesn't matter one way or the other. To a point I would have to agree. While I believe many of the supporters of the conspiracy have had a political agenda, ie to discredit the CIA, The FBI, The military, The right wing, I don't think it carys any political water today. But It angers me to see the truth buried beneath a pile of misleading conspiracy books.
Some of you may have been outraged by the acquittal of O.J. Simpson, disgusted by the tactics of the dream team, and frustrated by the refussal of the jury to see the truth. This is how I feel about Oswald. The man is a double murderer, and some peole out there are trying to obsolve the man of that crime. I find that unacceptable. This site is my attempt to bring a little bit of information to the public without being filtered through the lens of some "researcher".
