The four hours of sleep I had last night have worn thin the protection of my sanity. Although I am not a drinker, I feel as if I went on a bender last night. Another four hours of sleep would be cleansing and refreshing. But for now I had to stick out at work until a few things were done. I work in a construction office. I have been working in construction offices for ten years. The faces change and the scenario changes, but the template is the same. I excel at this vocation so much I have nowhere left to go. I must change careers at this point. My stomach roils with the caffeine and nicotine floating in my system as my sleep deprived body tries to filter and cope. I set my
