The Chausat Yogini temple, or the temple of 64 yoginis is situated atop a hill in Bhedaghat. It was built around 1000 AD by the then rulers who wished safety and prosperity of their kingdom. Tantric rites like Chakra puja were perfomed here. It is one of the rare temples of erstwhile Shakti worship.
One has to climb 150 plus steps to reach the temple.
One can get views of the meandering Narmada from this hill temple. The
froth from the Dhuandhar waterfall is also visible from this hill.
Madan Mahal (palace) of the Queen Durgavati. There are secret underground tunnels that connect the palaces to the temple in the above photograph.
