Contributed to the implementation of the Automated Library Systems Project.  This program updated the university’s ability to track and manage all library resources from archives to news of the day.  Elements of the installation included:

  • Overseeing user administration of both Akiva Web Board™ and Right Now Customer service software
  • Basic HTML editing of Web Board™ and editing of customer service answers on Right Now
  • Development, integration, and problem solving of E-learning web applications for MNSCU
  • Training of both management and end users for the web applications

 

Computer Technician                                                                                                                                             2002 – 2003

Served user community as a troubleshooter for both software and hardware issues.  Provided these services to faculty, staff, and students.  Promoted and maintained confidentiality, friendly environments, and developed helpful relationships with all three constituencies.  Earned trust and respect of my client base.

 

Network and Systems Administrator Unix / Windows 2000                                                             1999 – 2002

Supported infrastructure of the university’s computer facilities.  Responsibilities included:

§         Maintaining network and server security, stability, and efficiency

§         Developing and maintaining clients and servers for the computer science department

§         Assisting faculty and students in computer related hardware and software issues

Personally gained insight into the interfacing and interactions of the university’s computer environment enabling promotional opportunities.
