Fun With Nature
Kids’ Fun with Nature with the Nature Society's Education Group. This activity is very
suitable for kids between 6 to 11 years of age. Lots of hands-on activities where kids get to
interact with others for a lesson on nature that is both interesting and educational.
I recommend this activity because the experience will provide students with very good background
knowledge. According to Eggen & Kauchak, 'students construct their understanding of the world on
the basis of their experiences... If the experiences are lacking, the prerequisite schemes to
which new learning can be attched won't exist.
The next Fun With Nature activity will be at the Macritchie's Rainforest on the 26th June 2004.
