One of my professors e-mailed this photo to me. I thought it worthy to post here so others may enjoy it. If you are politically offended by this, then tough noogies! |
This is a submarine entering Port Canaveral. The VAB at KSC is in the background on the right.
This picture is provided by a NASA rocket scientist friend of mine on an office day cruise late in February. It was taken with a digital camera by an officemate.
I processed the picture a bit to improve contrast, but caused the JPEG blocking to begin to appear.

What's the coolest thing about Daytona Beach and surrounding areas? You can drive on the beach! This is my new Malibu on the Ponce de Leon Inlet beach. |
This is Susan. She was divemaster on the boat for one of my recent scuba diving trips to West Palm Beach. She is the best reason you should dive with Gold Coast Charters. And the woman knows how to clean a lobster! |

This is the Lost Kennywood section of Kennywood Park in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. I am considering adding a Kennywood page in the near future. Kennywood in only one of two amusement parks in the US that is on the National Register of Historic Places. The roller coaster in the background is the Steel Phantom. When it was built in about 1994, it was the fastest coaster in the world. It exceeds 80 mph. The main hill seen is only half of the vertical height of the entire coaster, as it drops into a ravine below camera level. |
