At this point in my life, I have spent as many years in my life in Auburn, Alabama as anywhere else.
I moved there to go to school, and developed the love of Auburn University that most students do. But unlike most students, who think of the Auburn/Opelika area as just the place where they go to school and rarely leave campus except to get out of town on the weekends, I made it my home.
On the weekend of my last graduation, I walked around camous and took the obligatory photographs. I was blessed with a nice day for taking photographs. There were many of those flowery tree-things with which to frame the photos. Some of these photos were from that time, and some are from a year later.
(Cathy says those flowery tree-things are Azaleas, but I haven't posted any pictures yet for her to see, so I don't know how she'd know!)

Beard-Eaves Memorial coliseum. Paul Finebaum has said that it is an excellent place to watch basketball games since there are not all those championship banners hanging in the way to block your view. |
Haley Center, home of the College of Liberal Arts among other departments. Hardly any student since the 70s has been through Auburn without attending class in 3270 or 3195. |

Jordan-Hare stadium. Capacity ~85,363. Last I checked, was the second largest stadium in the SEC and about 5th overall in the US. |
For some reason, "Jordan" is pronounced "Jerdan." |

The recently rebuilt Plainsman Park, the baseball stadium. Attendance really picked up when the old exposed bleachers were replaced with shaded stadium seats. |
The pool in the James E. Martin Aquatics center. I used to swim here with the Auburn University Swim Team (They would sometimes practice during open pool sessions at the other end.) |

Tiger, the war eagle. Many people seem to be confused as to what Auburn's mascot is. The mascot is the tiger. "War Eagle" is a battle cry. |
