Prokaryotic Cells

vs.

Eukaryotic Cells

Similarities

There are two main similarities between Prokaryotic Cells and Eukaryotic Cells. The first one being they both have cell membranes as part of their outer structure. Both Prokaryotic cells and Eukaryotic cells contain cytoplasm serving as the entire region between the nucleus and the membrane bounding the cell.

Differences

Between Prokaryotic and Eukaryotic cells there are differences that make cells unique. The Prokaryotic cells do not contain a nucleus but have nuclear material in a designated area of the cell; also the Prokaryotic cell does not have membrane bound organelles, which Eukaryotic cells do have. An organelle is any component of a cell that helps carry out the function of a cell.
