About the Firm's Founder
Harriet B. Harral, Ph.D., founder and principal of The Harral Group, is well known for her work in increasing organizational effectiveness in private and public organizations.
In addition to heading her firm, she is executive director of Leadership Fort Worth, an organization that prepares individuals to assume leadership roles in the community. Alumnae of the program continue their work in Forum.
Dr. Harral formerly was the director of the Center for Productive Communication in the M.J. Neeley School of Business at Texas Christian University. During her tenure, the Princeton Review rated her program #1 in the nation for three consecutive years in the development of communication skills. Earlier in her career, she was director of training for two cities, and she has taught graduate-level communication courses at three universities.
Dr. Harral is the author of Communication: Leadership Skills for Women, New Hope press, 1994, and Strategies for Teaching Interpersonal Skills, Addison Wesley Longman, (4th edition, 1999), as well as numerous articles.
Dr. Harral serves on the boards of the National Association for Community Leadership and the Texas Association of Leadership Programs. She is Immediate Past President of the Board of Directors of Goodwill Industries of Fort Worth, Inc. and Guardianship Services.
