Work Experience

Engagement Manager, LexisNexis Technology (2002-Present)
Currently, I am managing internal and external customer relationships for services provided by LexisNexis Data Center and Network Services.

Vision Consultant, LexisNexis Developement (2001)
I worked with a team of former product managers to create a comprehensive product vision for the development of LexisNexis products.

Product Manager, lexis.com (1997-2001)
As the original product manager, I led a core team which established the vision of what lexis.com should be and over time helped shape every feature in the site: from sign-on to delivery and everything in between. Lexis.com was responsible for increasing law student preference (the primary indicator of future revenue from the legal market) from a low of 10% prior to the introduction of the site to a high of 54% in 2000.

Project Manager, LexisNexis Legal Practice Systems (1995-1997)
At Jurisoft and later at LexisNexis headquarters in Dayton, I managed my former law professors in the development of legal practice systems, which take legal professionals through a series of questions and then create various legal documents, similar to what TurboTax does for taxpayers.

Sole Proprietor, Legal Automation Systems (1992-1995)
During the 3 years after law school, I hired myself out to build legal practice systems and provide training for law firms, legal publishers and software companies. Clients included Holland and Hart, Matthew Bender and Ford Motor Credit.

Early Work History (1978-1994)
Farm laborer, heavy equipment operator, plumber, bus driver, disc jockey, and cowboy.

Education

J.D., J. Reuben Clark Law School (1992).
B.A., Political Science, Arizona State University (1989).

Community Service

Having earned the rank of Eagle Scout as a youth, I have volunteered my time with local BSA troops over the years and am currently the scout committee chairman of Troop 498 in Springboro, Ohio. From 1984-1986 I served as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Osaka, Japan and currently serve in the Young Men's Organization in the local Springboro Ward of the church.

Praise for the Product Manager

"...in the upper echelon of product managers. He really thinks through his ideas and articulates them well. He is always open to our comments and issues. He is a true advocate for the customer and a champion of the product. He is top notch in my book." Don Buckley, Consulting Software Engineer

"...one of the few product managers, in my estimation, whose vision is sufficiently broad to see across individual projects toward a greater whole. I think that is a testament to his intellectual courage and creativity. He also stands out in my mind as a significant forward-thinker -- someone who seems able to tell which way the industry winds are blowing and how we ought to leverage those trends to improve our service to customers." Don Steiner, Senior Architect

"His excitement and energy are contagious. He always brings excellent, challenging ideas to the table, but is willing to negotiate in order to get features to the customer in a timely manner. You couldn't ask for a better product manager!" Lisa Smith, Senior Software Engineer

"... a pleasure to work with. His vision is surpassed only by his dedication and commitment to fulfill it. He can command a group of people and lead them toward a common goal. He is customer-focused, market-oriented and desires to create and deliver the best products to meet customer needs. He expertly balances technical skills with business sense. He is respected by peers and superiors for his product leadership." Kristi Weaver, Director of Pricing

"His vision and dedication to excellence is why Lexis.com has been such a success." Allan Huber, Senior Director of Product Development

"... a dynamic visionary inspired by a dedication to product excellence who has the strongest, deepest, and broadest technical and architectural understanding of Web-based research applications and underlying infrastructure of any LexisNexis product manager. Any information service products for which he is responsible will be outstanding." Fred Zimmerman, Program Manager

" Without the insight, dedication and in depth understanding of our customers that Jordan brought to the team, I have doubts that we would have been as successful as we were. Jordan's contributions helped pave the way for the Lexis.com we know today." David E. Glowacki, EPD Sr. Director Flagship Web Development

"In his quest to provide the best user interface design solutions for our customers, he combines both excellent technical and communication skills along with a passion and dedication level that exceeds many individuals that I've worked with throughout my career." Mark Neumeier, Team Lead, Consulting Human Factors Engineer
