The Bullpup is my second fully scale rocket, and my first try at the Explorer series. I got it mostly because it looked nice and it wouldn't go up so high in my little launch field.
Mine came with an 18 inch parachute instead of a 12 inch parachute. It got caught in a tree 11/22/99 and I finally got it back on 12/25/99. I replaced the nose cone and replaced the 18" chute with my old Hijax's 12 inch.

Flight # | Date | Engine | Weather | Comments |
---|---|---|---|---|
1 | 11/21/99 | A8-3 | No wind | Only got up a few feet, parachute didn't even have enough time to open. Nosed into the ground and got dirty. |
2 | 11/22/99 | B6-4 | Light breeze | Took off fine, but drifted on recovery and landed in the middle of an clear cut area, on just about the only tree still standing. It's just on a little branch so hopefully it will blow down, but if it dosen't... I'm cutting the tree down. I don't think anyone is going to miss the thing. 12/25/99: Got a new nose cone... lucky tree. |
3 | 1/9/00 | B6-4 | Light breeze | Finally a good flight. |
4 | 3/05/00 | B6-4 | No wind | Good flight, good recovery. |
5 | 3/31/00 | B6-4 | No wind | Good flight, good recovery. |
6 | 6/14/00 | B6-4 | Lt. wind | Good flight, good recovery. |
