AMF Monorail Historical Perspective #3

   This series of photos is the third and last in a number of vignettes entitled "Ghosts of Flushing Meadow."


   My original photo, taken January 21, 2001 looking north-northwest across the Meadow Lake Bridge with the New York State Pavilion in the background. The bridge is presently closed due to construction at the site of the old Getrude Ederle Amphitheater.

   My, how those trees have grown in the last 37 years, eh? As the area was cordoned off, there were no footprints to ruin the freshly fallen snow.
