Hi! Welcome to the Igor's homepage.
This homepage is still under construction.
I hope that my
family will give me a chance to finish the construction in the new millenium ( :-) if my computer is Y2K compliant :-) ).
I noticed recently that all my life I have been moving farther
and farther from East to West following the sun. I was born in the middle
of Siberia 29 years ago and made my first 4,000 km on my way to West 16
years after that when I entered the Moscow
State University. I stayed for a while there, met a lot of interesting
people, learned something about life and organic chemistry, get
my Ph.D. and then made another jump to the West, this time
to the United States. It is hard to guess what will be the next stop
but I do hope that eventually when I will retire (in 40-50 years) I will
enjoy sunsets on a beach of a small island in the Pacific Ocean.
I don't want to look
as a one-dimensional person but I don't have too much time for the hobbies
and especially for the homepage about my hobbies. I will mention
just one, the favourite, hobby -
Organic Chemistry , which is luckily is at the same time the
source of my income.
I am currently working as a Research Associate at
the University of Wisconsin-Madison
with Professor
Howard E.Zimmerman in one of the best photochemical groups
in the world.
