  • It has nine 6V batteries to give 54 volts. The controller on occasions has had 900 amps through it as a surge(not recommended). This car used a very large motor.
  • The controller uses two SCR's with a pulse width driver, some inductors and capacitors help to SCR's to work. The car had a max. speed af about 60km and range of 60km.
  • The PWM runs at about 300Hz. The 54 Volts is converted down to 12 Volts to run the lights and horn through use of a crude DC - DC convertor.
  • This electric mini had the electric motor mounted on the gear box, gears had to be changed to obtain different speeds. This design had several problems. The motor was too heavy for the car, when the car was jacked up the wheel shafts would scrape on the body, the motor broke the stay arm and was rewelded.
