"For one priceless moment in the whole history of man, all the people on this earth are truly one..." -- President Nixon, July 20, 1969 "The regret on our side is, they used to say
years ago, we are reading about you in science class. Now they say,
we are reading about you in history class."
Welcome On July 20, 1969, astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin successfully piloted their spacecraft to a soft landing on the surface of the moon and became the first humans to walk upon another celestial body. This remarkable accomplishment arguably represents the greatest single technological achievement in human history. This
page is a tribute to the Apollo Lunar Module (LM), the vehicle that landed
men on the moon and returned them to lunar orbit. From this page
you can look up some interesting facts about
the LM, visit my gallery of audio, video,
and image clips, or check out my links to other
LM, Apollo, and space-related sites.
Update April 2, 2008: A new and improved The Lunar Module Page is on the way. Stay tuned for details.
