As dog loving windsurfers we have been vacationing on Hatteras Island for years. However, we were frustrated trying to find a soundfront vacation home that welcomed (or even put up with) our black lab Zoe. And we could not just leave her at home! She loves to swim and the salty water does wonders for her coat. So we took matters into our own hands and are proud to offer this soundfront pet-, kayak-, kiting-, and windsurfing-friendly vacation home.don’

Zoe’s (is this dog spoiled or what?!) is located at 50628 Timber Trail in the Indiantown Shores subdivision of Frisco, North Carolina. (Three miles southeast the town of Buxton on Route 12, Timber Trail is on the right just 30 feet (10 meters) shy of mile marker 65 and a half-a-block or so past the Baptist church and the entrance to Brigand’s Bay.) Completed in 1999, the cottage became available for Sunday-to-Sunday weekly rental through Hatteras Realty. Note that the house is open for rental all year and during the winter months more flexible bookings are available. For example, weekends and partial weeks are typically available—call Hatteras Realty for details.

Until the end of March 1999, this webpage kept friends and family informed of house planning and construction. It then evolved into a repository of information to augment the Hatteras Realty rental brochure. In other words, this page is dedicated to information about Zoe’s, which (hopefully) answers questions a prospective renter might have. (Like, who the heck are the owners?) If there is something we have overlooked, please send us an email.
