What is the BlastOff! Award?

The BlastOff! award is an award for our new homesteaders, to congratulate them on their efforts in getting their new homesteads underway. We wanted to make it something achievable, so you don't have to feel like you need to create masterpiece to qualify for it.

How do I qualify for the BlastOff! Award?

To earn the BlastOff! Award, you need to fit these criteria:

Been a Geocities homesteader for three months or less, from the date you send in the application form.
Created at least two linked pages on your homestead, using any creation tool including PageBuilder, one of them being an index.html page.
The main page must have some actual content in it that fits the CapeCanaveral neighborhood theme (engineering, aviation, mathematics, science, space exploration, etc.)
There must not be any violations of the GeoCities Content Terms and Conditions.
That's all you need to quality!

Okay, I qualify! How do I get the Award?

Once you are qualified, just hop on over to our Application Form, and fill it out. One of our CL's will review your page, and contact you directly.

Show Me The Money! What do I get if I'm accepted?

When you're accepted, you will be allowed to pick from one of several award images that you can post on your page. We are also thinking about starting a BlastOff! webring, which can gain you more exposure, and get more visitors to your site. Once you win the award, you may keep the graphic for as long as you wish, even though the three-month time limit may have long since elapsed. And, if we create the webring, your membership in that would be for as long as you desired to remain in it, as well.
