My name is Jerry Hemby and I have lived in the Columbus GA, Phenix City area most of my life. I was in the U.S. Navy from 1964 to 1968. While in the Navy, I attended Navy Class A Electronics School, Great Lakes Naval Training Center, just north of Chicago Il. Electronics Technician (Radar), Attack Aircraft Carrier, U.S.S. America, OE Division. EQUIPMENT: CATCC RADAR, SPN-10 System, SPS-10 etc . Missed being a plank owner by about one month. Made two Med cruises while aboard. |
