"Guardians of the Last Frontier"

I arrived in Kodiak, Alaska, in April of 1997.  I was assigned to ALPAT, or "Alaska Patrol"  Our job was to deploy with our HH65A Dolphin helicopters to the various Coast Guard cutters that patrolled the Alaskan waters.

I went on patrol with the cutter Jarvis in September-October 1997.  The "Mighty J" is homeported in Honolulu, Hawaii.

This isn't the Jarvis, but it looks just like it.
