My Life

"You've got to be a people person." "If you don't take a serious personal interest in your life, what we want and what is our goals, then we shouldn't be in the business."

6:30am My working day begins to work with a copy of The Australian Financial Review. It's only 30 minutes reading time I can digest most of the key stories.

7:00am Start downloading data from ASX using Data Director and run Omni Trader Trading System. It takes about 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete.

7:30am Have a cup of coffee and toast for breakfast while reading the key business news stories from internet (Egoli, Sanford, CNNMoney, SGWarrant) and scans through any new pieces of company research that UBSWarburg team of analysts has prepared. I also uses this time to watch the live news on TV to see what the key US and Europe markets did overnight.

8:00am Every morning, I will involve myself in the share forum (Investorweb), which links up the firm's trader, advisers, analysts and economists around Australia and sometimes in the US. The analyst generally use this forum to update us on their latest recommendations and views on the companies that they research. It is basically where I get a lot of direction and ideas about which stocks I should be buying and selling over both the short and long term.

9:00am Before the stock market opens, I sometimes calls my mentor (Aunt Grace) to discuss and updates on overnight market movements, any new idea she has and which stocks she thinks should be bought or sold. I also use this time to discuss her views on the market and any good ideas that she might has. After completed running the Omni Trader Trading System, I will writes all the indicator and signal of each of stocks I hold. The indicator which I uses are EMA2, MACD, Slow Stocastics, RSI, Bollinger Bands, Volume, the Support and Resistance level.

10:00am  Showtime !!! The market opens and I begins trading. It can often be quite hectic at this time as I am trying to buy and sell at the best possible price over a number of different stocks. While trading, I sometimes taking phone calls, updating and discussing with my mentor.

12:30pm Lunch time !!!! I like to get out from my computer and get some fresh air and clear my head for the oncoming afternoon. Then continue trading.

4:00pm With the market closed for the day's trading, I reconcile all the orders I made. Then, I review the stocks I hold in my portfolio.

4:30pm I turns off my computer and go out to relax and unwind. Only to do it all again tomorrow.
