This is a highly personal look at FAI F2C (Team Racing) in the first twelve years or so. During this time the World Championships were instituted and the rules used today were forged.

Since then the times have improved, but the rules have hardly changed.

In this area I have tried to find and use photographs that have never appeared in print, especially color photographs wherever possible because the modeling press seldom used color in the 60's and 70's. The majority of the photographs are mine. I'm grateful to Jim Dunkin (ARM pic, most of the Namur pictures, SnJ engine etc. ) and John Barr (Russian T/R and Theobald pictures)  for augmenting this little collection.

There are three sections here: "The Teams", photos and some text describing outstanding teams for which I have material to present, and a personal memory or so for those I know. "The Look", about equipment and individuals that, to me, characterized new directions or had a distinctive appearance. "Back to the Future", for information on T/R today in the US when I have information to present. The set of pictures for 1997 are from the US F2C semi-finals at Whittier Narrows CA on October 3/4.
