Mr. Richmond's Physics Classes | Mrs. Pryal's Classes |
Welcome!
The physics teachers at R.H.S. are Jim Richmond and Elmyra Pryal (Worden). The three physics courses offered include Physics I, Pre-AP Physics I, and AP Physics C. In physics, students learn about physical characteristics and phenomena that occur in the universe such as motion, heat, light, sound, electricity, and magnetism. Physics provides the scientific base for all areas of scientific study, and basic concepts can be learned and taught at any level. In the state of Texas, Physics is included as one of the four sciences in the State Board of Education's Recommended High School Graduation Plan. To graduate under this plan, a student must complete three years of science from the areas of biology (I & II), chemistry (I & II), physics (I & II), and Integrated Physics and Chemistry. At Richland High School, Physics is an exciting course, and students with a strong algebra background are encouraged to enroll.
