SUMMARY OF PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Over eighteen years of design/engineering experience as a process engineer for onshore and offshore oil and gas and petrochemical industries. Versatile experience with Consultants, Engineering and Operating companies. Worked in INDIA, MALAYSIA, SINGAPORE & ABU DHABI. Experience includes feasibility and conceptual studies; process simulations; basic and detailed design; operating manuals and commissioning. Performed various process engineering tasks such as firming up of design basis; development of PFDs; Heat/material balance; P&IDs; SAFE CHART; shutdown matrix; HAZOP; Area classifications drawings; selection and sizing of equipment, instruments, piping; operating manuals, in the capacity of lead/senior process engineer for offshore oil and gas processing platforms, pipelines, onshore oil & gas facilities. Familiar with major International Codes and Standards such as API, ASME, NFPA, IP. Familiar with Shell DEPs and MESC; NORSOK standard, BP’s CP and RP; Esso’s DIM, Exxon’s Basic Practices. Lead a team of engineers and liaised with other disciplines, clients, vendors, fabricators and other third parties. Technical backup to the surface engineering section of Petronas Carigali’s Sarawak Operations Facilities. Design input to troubleshooting and plant change requests as per relevant codes and standards and good engineering practice. Facilities include 10 process platform complexes and crude oil receiving terminal for 300,000 bpd of gross production.

Conceptual design and Basic Engineering of the top side process facilities of FPSO. The facilities included 56,000 BPD crude oil heating and stabilisation, storage and pumping and gas compression for 50 MMSCFD gas.

Man-hour estimates; firm-up basis of design; Equipment, line, Instruments sizing calculations; control and shutdown philosophy; preparation of PFDs, P&IDs, line Schedule, Alarm & Shutdown Schedules, Hazardous Area Classification Drawings; Revisions to Operating manuals and HAZOP participation.

The facilities consist of four modules & MSF with 48 conductors for oil producing and gas injection wells, manifold, 2 stage separation, crude heating, MOL pumps, crude pipeline to Tapis-P, produced water handling and associated utilities, Integration with living quarters and bridge connected gas compression platform.

WORK INVOLVED :

Computer simulation and heat and material balance preparation using "CHEMSHARE", Process and utility flow diagrams, Mechanical flow diagrams (P&IDs), Equipment selection and sizing and process datasheets preparation, Piping sizing and line list preparation, Crude pipeline to Tapis-P, Shutdown matrix preparation, Sizing and control valves, safety valves and preparation of process data sheets for instrument, Participation in HAZOP, Preparation of operating manual, Technical backup to project and other engineering disciplines, Liaison with client and vendors.

ICG - GAS COMPRESSION PLATFORM (Capacity 170 MMSCFD) Facilities include: 3 compression and dehydration trains each of 85 MMSCFD capacity, Integration/bridge with existing ICP process platform Associated utilities and living quarters.

WORK INVOLVED :

Conceptual design of intrafield gas lift pipeline network and location of compression platform, Design basis preparation and front end design and preparation of Bid package, Technical evaluation of Bids, Posted in JAPAN for review and approval of contractor’s (NKK) detailed design., Participated in platform precommissioning and commissioning activities.

PROJECT : BOMBAY HIGH - NEELAM COMPLEX

JOB : Detailed Design of NLM-10, NLM-11 and N8 Well Platforms

Basic and detailed design of these unmanned, remote oil, producing well platforms.

PROJECT : BOMBAY HIGH OFFSHORE

WORK INVOLVED :

Adequacy analysis for well fluid and water injection pipelines for the entire Bombay High Field to cater for higher flows, Key issues study for the Mukta Field Process Complex, Conceptual report augmentation to meet requirements of gas lift and processing of free gas well fluid on Mukta Process Platform, Bombay High Field, gas lift pipelines study to arrive at optimum gas lift pipeline network.
