UNINSTALL | REBOOT ------------------ If you're upgrading... - from a version prior to 4x.xx to a 4x.xx, uninstalls are suggested. - within 4x.xx then uninstalls aren't as necessary. If you're downgrading... - always uninstall first. HOW TO INSTALL GUIDE -------------------- Download the INF ZIP file. ( xp_[driver version].ZIP or 9x_[driver version].ZIP ) Download the corresponding driver. ( [driver version].ZIP or [driver version].EXE ) The driver (both ZIP and EXE) can be opened up in either Winzip or Winrar to be extracted. Otherwise, if the file is a EXE start the installation process and extract the files, then cancel the setup. Once the files are unpackaged from the ZIP/EXE open up the INF ZIP file using WinZip, WinRAR, or XP's built-in ZIP software. The INF ZIP file contains various INF files. Each supported OEM company has their own directory. e.g. Dell systems -- /Dell/nv4_disp.inf Gateway systems -- /Gateway/nv4_disp.inf Copy or extract the correct INF and place in the same directory as the unpackaged driver files. Click "YES" when prompted to overwrite the current file. NOTE: 44.03 drivers require a second file (nvids.cfg) to be copied in order to use the setup routine.
