Training, Information, and Education

SPARC has established a working group to promote Training, Information, and Education.  Its goal is to improve the technical skills of existing hams and with provide new and prospective hams with the skills they need to be successful and productive.  The members of this group include:

  • The training sessions include:
     
    Technician License Course  Annually  6 two-hour weekly sessions
    General License Course   Annually  6 two-hour weekly sessions
    CW Course  Annually  6 two-hour weekly sessions
    Extra License Seminar  As needed  8 two-hour weekly sessions
    Specialized Training for Club members  As needed

    The specialized training sessions include, but are not limited to, monthly general membership presentations, special class sessions, quarterly newsletter articles, and special mailings.  These educational directives include a partnership with the Lebanon-Lancaster Science and Technology School program and updates with the Federal, State, and County Emergency Management Agencies.

    The CW and Technician training sessions for this year have been completed.  Other courses are currently underway.  A new schedule is currently under development.  The dates will be posted as soon as they become available.
