WB3FQY Packet BBS
The packet system runs on a 486/90mhz IBM clone under MSDOS 6.0 .
The
system is running Flexnet Digi software and FBB for the BBS. Four
Paccom Tiny 2 TNCs are linked to the software using an STB 4-COM
buffered
UART board sharing a single IRQ. The signals originate from the
K3IR
repeater site in Rapho Township, Pennsylvania, at 622' ASL. The
repeater
is in grid square FN10SM (76° 27' 17" Latitude, 40°10'02"
Longitude).and is approximately 10 miles west of
Lancaster,
PA. The computer is backed up by a UPS and the entire system is
backed
up by a 30KW Diesel emergency generator. In the event of a power
failure
during emergencies this system will remain on line.
