DriveMonitor was written to stop those nasty occasions when I shutdown my computer and left a CD in it, took the empty case home (thinking the CD was in it) or lent it to a friend, or went to play it in my hi-fi, only to find that the disc was still inside my powered down computer!

Or, when I booted from a floppy disk (aaarrgghh boot virus!) because I left it in the drive.
