The Program: Under the direction of board certified, Michael P.M. Pond, M.D., North Country LIFE FLIGHT, Inc. (NCLF) provides critical care to patients in need of expedient access to advanced care. NCLF is considered one of the most unique air medical transport services in the country. Working in cooperation with the New York State Police, NCLF offers emergency helicopter transports free of charge to critically ill and seriously injured patients. Thirty specially trained critical care medical volunteers donate their time to cover a 24-hour, seven day a week schedule. When appropriate, NCLF also flies with commercial FAA air ambulance approved fixed-wing vendors. NCLF is a not-for-profit agency that relies substantially on private support. The program services residents and visitors of the Adirondack Region, Champlain Valley, St. Lawrence River Valley and parts of the Hudson River Valley. If you would like to be included as one of those generous people who support this vital program, please send your donation to the address listed below.
The Team: NCLF's air medical crew consists of highly trained registered nurses, physician's assistants, certified paramedics and AEMT-CCs. NCLF is a member of the National Association of Air Medical Services. Those medical professionals who are interested in volunteering for the LIFE FLIGHT program are encouraged to contact us via the e-mail address below or by calling NCLF during regular business hours.
