Many of our customers will never visit our company, and few will have any idea of the unique equipment and testing facility that we have to offer. We hope this information may help you determine our abilities and qualifications in this very specialized field.
Our national repair center is fully equipped to handle most types, brands and sizes of vacuum pumps. We rebuild liquid ring (conical and flat port), rotary vane, rotary piston, rotary lobe and centrifugal vacuum pumps. We routinely build brands such as Nash, SIHI, Graham, Travaini, Kenny, Stokes, Busch, LeBold, Roots and many others.

In today's world with EPA regulations having less tolerance or zero tolerance for down time, a vacuum pump problem can be very costly, not only in rebuild cost, but down time. That is why testing is so critical and one of the most important steps in the rebuilding process.
Most vacuum pump rebuilders perform what is referred to as a hydro-test after rebuilding a vacuum pump.
In a hydro-test the pump is filled with liquid, the flanges are sealed and pressure is introduced to the pump. The pump is then visually checked for leaks and a gauge is checked for a pressure drop. This type of testing will not let the rebuilder or customer know if there is a problem with motor amps, heat rise, vacuum, seal water pressure, seal water volume or capacity.
We at ENTRIVAC believe that this is not sufficient to ensure our customers the quality you need and deserve. With that in mind we have installed a unique testing facility with multiple stations to match pumps with motor size.
Our system includes pressure and temperature gauges, rotor meter, flow switch, filter, circulation tank, and other equipment to simulate VRU operation and properly check pumps before they are installed on your equipment.
The primary functions of a vacuum pump are vacuum and capacity. However, you may have good vacuum and still have low capacity. As little as twenty thousands (.020) too much shim can make the difference between 50 percent capacity and 80 percent capacity and still have a good vacuum reading.
You may experience such problem as improper regeneration, loss of through put capacity, increased emission levels and/or premature vacuum pump failure due to low vacuum pump capacity. You should insist that your vacuum pump repair facility check the capacity of each pump they rebuild.
