These were taken March 26, 1997 on Mt. Laguna in eastern San Diego county.
I used a Canon AE-1 on a tripod with 50mm f/1.4 lens using a manual shutter release for 30 seconds with Fuji 800 film.
The blue ion tail points away from the sun, the yellow dust tail shows where the comet has been.
