At IPPA we have given several courses on:

We have co-organized the:


First World Congress on High Altitude Medicine and Physiology (Sep 12-14th, 1994), with the participation of the International Society for Mountain Medicine and the Wilderness Medical Society, here in la Paz. This meeting was so sucessful that the Second was in Cuzco Peru in 1996, the Third in Matsumoto 1998, Japan, the Fourth in Arica, Chile 2000, the Fifth in Barcelona, Spain 2002 and the Sixth in Xining and Tibet, China 2004.



Symposium on The Effect of Chronic Hypoxia on Diseases at High Altitude 1-8 Oct, 2005 with the participation of Zubieta University, UNESCO and the Third World Academy of Sciences,
