Brief History of David Ball

I was Born in the back bedroom of a house in Omar Road, Coventry on the second of January 1976. I feel privileged to have grown up in a loving Christian Family.
I met my wife Vicky at Nene College. Vicky is from Southend on Sea and is a R.E. teacher.
Mum + Dad
These are my parents, Mike and Edna Ball, seen at Nene College, Northampton after my graduation in 1997. They have looked after me well and when I was younger bought me lots of lego, Star Wars toys and transformers. As well as more cardboard and selotape a small boy could wish for.
I went to Ravensdale Primary school and David enjoyed writing about space and playing kiss chase in the playground.
Just before moving to Blue Coat School in Coventry I had a lucky escape when I was knocked down by a car and got away with a broken collar bone and some cuts and scrapes. Whilst semiconscious lying in the road I remember spotting a friend and saying "Hello Gavin!".
This is my brother Phil and I on my seventeenth birthday. We went go karting in Birmingham. It was expensive but we had fun I can't remember who won but I do remember spinning out a lot.

I have always enjoyed Art even though I only achieved a C at GCSE I learnt a lot from Mrs Williams and Mr Cook during my A-Levels. It also gave me the chance to go to Paris and visit the Louvre, the Picasso Museum and the Eiffel tower from a distance. These shells are two of the few pictures that I drew on my degree course that I really like.
Mat + Wes
At Kate Stone's surprise Birthday in 1993 when Mat Stone and Wes Finch got the chance to play guitar with Iain Archer who we had seen at Greenbelt.
I have always Attended Meredith Road Baptist Church in Coventry where I met a lot of my friends Such as Matthew and Kate Stone (Known as "The Stones") Catherine and Steven Jones (Known as "The Jones") and Sue Dave, Iain, Emma, Paul, Mark Jessop and various animals (Known as "The Jessops").
At Blue Coat School the first friend I made was Stuart Whately as well as Andrew Dobson, Julian Vassel and later visiting Australian, Mick Baltacks and when I entered the sixth form David Twislton.
During the summer of 1994 and 1995 I went to Cardiff for a month to help run a playscheme in the inner city. It was enjoyable and tiring. This photo shows Ruth, Aderyn, John, Catherine, Neil, Alison and Ruth, I was the one behind the camera. We lived in ex student accommodation which included the gas cooker that wouldn't go out, an amazingly blocked up drain and some rather unimaginative art work on one window. It was one of the best times I have ever had.
After finishing my A levels in Art (C), Maths (C) and Physics (D) I decided to go to Nene College in Northampton mainly to study Psychology. Once there I met Vincent Holland-Keen, Chris Thurtle, and Fran Jones. In my final year I started going to the Christian Union and met Vicky Whitehead, who was the president and asked her out.
Friends from Nene Vicky, Me, Adam, Ruth Quarton, Christina, Paul and Sue Morris and Phil in the background at the end of 1997.
I took this Photo of Vicky on our trip to Budapest in Hungary where Vicky showed me around where she lived for three years. We stayed with some of her old friends from the school she used to attend and I learnt very little of the language.
I remember saying won't this make a funny photo and now Vicky doesn't like this Photo. I have no idea why.

Vince & Chris
After getting a 2:2 in Combined Studies I moved back to Coventry and began temping at a mortgage centre. Vince, Chris and I got together and tried to film an embarrassing video entitled Night of the Chickens and less said about The Tigermouse the better. Since then we have never looked back with Vince's writing, directing and camera skill, and me, well just turning up, I predict we will go far.
In Autumn in 1998 I got on to a PGCE at Leicester University and spent a very difficult year training to be a teacher.

I have so far worked in four different school two of them being Roman Catholic. I am currently working in a very nice Junior school in Clacton while vicky gets evermore pregnant. We bought a house in Colchester in 2001 and are expecting our first baby in May 2004.

The Ball house's energetic dog FUFU! Which we inherited from our uncle Alfred. We also inherited a chicken who stared in the Night of the Chickens and who did lay lots of eggs but no longer does.
Before these animals we did have two rabbits as pets Alonso and Rosco the rascally rabbit who runs away now both no longer with us. We suspect a fox.

The departed Rosco the Rabbit.
Last time Vicky visited this page she said that it wasn't fair that there were no bad pictures on me. This is a picture at Disney Land Paris after an over night journey on a coach. I have looked better.
