Hoppy's Picture page

Some pictures, taken with a nice camera, but scanned with a pooy scanner.

Sorry if it takes ages to download them all. Just imagine how long it took to up load them...

Here is another picture of Hoppy. Smiling this time too! That's because he's just been gliding, and is consequently happy.

Random gliding picture... Lasham at 1200 feet. Although it's not at all obvious from the picture, but I was actually in the middle of loop the loop at the time :-)

Some stars that I just happened to notice in my back garden. The constellation of Cygnus the swan, and the milky way is visible. 1 min 30 exposure f 1.7 50mm lens. Notice star trails.

Some more stars. The saucepan aka big dipper aka great bear aka the plough aka Ursa Major
1 min exposure. Bit of light pollution from near by sports ground.

Photo of Harrogate (North Yorks) ~1 min exposure. Bit of light pollution from Aurora Borealis! Taken in winter 2001 I think.

Fireworks over the Albert Bridge in London. Taken at the Battersea park firework display this november.
f 1.7 1/15 sec I think. Bridge over exposed. Firework under exposed. Darn it. You just can't win...

A famous clock thing in London. Also a building site of Westminster Station. How exciting. I've noticed that there's a great big wheel thing exactly where I took that picture from.

A fire engine, car and truck which are owned by various unions at Imperial college. I was involved with the maintenance of the Fire Engine which is called Jezabel, and was built in 1916, and still goes.
All vehicles illegally parked at Marble Arch, London. Nice

What better way to relax after a hard day's skiing? Friday 14th Jan 2005, Looking down the Isere valley, paragliding over Les Arcs

Aren't you glad you downloaded all of that?
