Welcome to my Aircheck page.
It was the summer of 99, and former WABC DJ Chuck Leonard was back spinning sounds from the 60's and 70's over the New York area. Chuck hosted an afternoon drive time show on low power WJUX in Bergen County, New Jersey and 2 of it's translators. Here is a very poor quality aircheck (due to my remote location) from 29 Jun 1999, 3pm-4:30pm. But, at least you get to hear how good Chuck sounded, just as great as he did on 77 WABC back in the 1970's!

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, 99X ruled the New York airwaves. This was one exciting radio station. Here is a custom version of "Almost Summer", by Mike Love and Celebration, the first song version written for a radio station that I personally heard. From WXLO, the summer of 1976. [special thanks to Lee Chambers of Westwood One for identifying the artist].

Mar. 2001 - Aloha! Just got back from an awesome trip to Hawaii - got a lot of airchecks from Hawaii. Check on the picture of the ocean to find out specific information about the airchecks I grabbed as well as the variety of different types of Hawaiian music formats (a few of which I got).
