Welcome to my MP3 page. Now before you start complaining
why there are no MP3's on this site, let me tell you why. I am not allowed
to put MP3's on my page because I am a CDNow and Amazon.com Associate and
they do not allow me to put MP3's on my page because they are illegal.
All I have put on this page is some info on MP3's and how to make them.
I apologise for that. Anyway, read on or leave.
What are MP3's?
MP3's are a new audio format,
which is only one tenth of the size of a wav file without any loss of quality.
They are good because for example, say you had a 5 minute song in wav format,
it would take up about 50 meg. If you converted it to MP3, it would only
take up about 5 meg with no loss of quality.
How do I make MP3's?
In order to make an MP3,
you need 3 things. Firstly, you need a CD Ripper. This is a program that
records a whole track off a CD and saves it to wav format. Then you need
an MP3 Encoder, which takes the wav file and converts it to MP3. Then you
need a player to play the MP3 and you're away.
How do I get these programs?
Use your favorite search
engine, I recommend Altavista or Hotbot, and type in CD Ripper or MP3 encoder
or MP3 player. You should be able to find what you're looking for.
