Liberty Hall II - the namesake of the original "Liberty Hall" on Judd's Peak. Liberty Hall was named by my Great-Grandmother 100 years ago. She, my grandmother and her brothers and sisters would make the long train journey to Saluda from Charleston, SC. The first thing they would do upon arrival was to shed their shoes and boots - true "liberty" compared to the "stuffy" Charleston of the early 1900's!
The old place is gone, but Liberty Hall II provides the same peaceful relief from the hustle and bustle, traffic, smog and fast-paced urban environs. Liberty Hall II is all about the freedom to take your shoes off, enjoy fresh air, breathtaking views, relaxation, great nearby attractions. Attractions include: The Biltmore House, The Carl Sandburg Home, and The Flat Rock Playhouse. Don't forget the charm and character of -"Old-Timey" Saluda! |
